Drake appears to squash beef with Kanye West as lawsuits mount against Astroworld performer

Drake and Kanye West appeared to end their long-running feud at an event at the Canadian citizen’s home on Tuesday.

Both rappers shared a video on their social media accounts late Tuesday night showing Drake with his arm wrapped around West’s neck. The two sport some fluffy cups and even some smiles.

Another video clip shows comedian Dave Chappelle in the audience, speaking through a microphone in front of a crowd about the rapper’s apparent reconciliation.

“How lucky we are to be in Drake’s house. I’ll say it again, he made some noise for Kanye and Drake,” Chappelle told the audience in a video West shared on Instagram.

Kanye also posted a picture of himself, Drake, and promoter J. Prince on Instagram with a dove emoji as a comment, seemingly symbolizing the peace that has been reached between them.

Prince explained on Twitter how he met West recently. “So I met up with @Kanye West To take the message from my brother Larry Hoover who said he would like to see peace between the two. I took this very well and said thank you because he’s never had anyone sit down and explain things to him the way I did.”

Then he called the Tuesday meeting at Drake’s house a “beautiful night.”

“Let’s make history on the 9th of December. Larry Hoover’s free concert,” Prince added. Hoover is currently serving a life sentence for murder.

The drama Drake and West dates back to 2018. The tension was heightened when Drake released his song “Duppy Freestyle”, which targeted both Pusha T and West. In response, Pusha T released his track titled “Adidon’s Story”. The track accused Drake of having a secret illegitimate son, as well as discovering a photo of Drake wearing a black face, which the Canadian rapper later took up.

West also went to Drake to follow an ex-Kim Kardashian on Instagram.

Earlier this month, Drake joined Travis Scott to perform at Astroworld. The event ended in tragedy with 10 people confirmed dead after the reported crowds increased. Lawsuits continue to pile up against Scott, Drake, Live Nation, and more. Meanwhile, West recently dedicated a Sunday concert to the victims of the tragedy.
