West Ham ace Nikola Vlasic close to agreeing shock loan move away

West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic is close to agreeing a deal to join Italian side Torino on loan.

The Croatian was signed for a reported £25million just last summer but after a frustrating season it appears the club are willing to let him leave.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Vlasic is ready to head to Italy for next season.

West Ham ace Nikola Vlasic will reportedly leave the Hammers on loan this summer with Serie A outfit Torino keen.

West Ham ace Nikola Vlasic

West Ham United’s Nikola Vlasic has struggled for minutes since arriving at London Stadium

Vlasic has shown glimpses of talent in a claret and blue shirt since arriving from CSKA Moscow but has never had a consistent run in the team.

He has started just 16 games for West Ham, only six of which have come in the Premier League, despite the Hammers having a small squad and battling what was a congested fixture list due to the Europa League run.

The 24-year-old has netted just one goal and got a further three assists.

Manager David Moyes often takes time to introduce new signings and some fans believe Vlasic has not been given a fair chance to impress.

However, others suggest his lack of playing time implies he has failed to meet Moyes’ high standards.

Rumours regarding him joining the side that finished 10th last season in Italy are made more believable by the fact a Ivan Juric is manager of Torino, who is a Croatian.

If Vlasic is loaned out then his signing will most likely be deemed as a failure, however, due to him being brought in from a Russian club, West Ham won’t be paying the full £25million for him.

This is as a result of economic sanctions put on Russia following their invasion of Ukraine.

West Ham could count themselves lucky that they are not paying the price they agreed for Vlasic.

West Ham will need to bring in a replacement and Moyes is keen on a reunion with one of his former players.
